National Museum of the Pacific War

The National Museum of the Pacific War is the only museum the Continental United States centered on World War II's Pacific Campaign.

I believe the main reason the museum is in Fredericksburg, Texas is because that is the hometown of Chester Nimitz.

Yes it is. For a good while it was in the building that was a hotel formerly owned by the Nimitz family.

BTW. There are better sources of information on the Museum than I, but many referred to it as the Nimitz Museum. Admiral Nimitz on the other hand  wanted it instead dedicated to all of those who served in the Pacific Theatre of World War II.
