It is the greatest game on the planet. The heat dissipation is sweet. The lurms are heavy but easy to deal with. Running in wolf packs with ECM and or AMS destroys them. Did it last night 10 solid wins in a row. We went for the lurm boats aggressively and won the game every single time. There were several mechwarriors that were involved and witnessed that great moment in destruction. Messing all lights up along with their lurm boats was a blast cant wait to do it again. We beat many good pilots/teams on top of it all with a drop caller and aggressive pilots.

it seems to be forward but missiles are still cancer.  if everyone runs ams its not too bad.  the energy changes were not TOO bad.  little less damage little more heat.  most builds didnt change much.

Ice Bar / Ermagherd so many changes

Hello folks, I've been out for a loong time (college is fun) and I've recently rekindled my interest in MWO.

The only thing standing in my way is a couple months of patch notes to look at. I've glossed over them, and if I read them correctly the biggest changes are in the heat system and missile locks/ecm. The gist of the recent changes seem to be "lower heat cap but faster cd" and "make indirect missiles less cancer."

So how'd those changes turn out? Is the game taking steps forward or back?

Other Games / Re: MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is set for release in 2019 (September)

They missed one  release date (Dec 2018 I believe.)
Thinking:
1. they meet the revised release date and
2. the program will work without at least two major patches

strains my imagination to the limit.

And if PGI knows what’s good for them and wants MWO to keep going they will port the game over to that engine at the very least. It may even be time for a rework or an expansion pack lol.

And it better be vr compatable. Possibly even compatable with the rift touch sensors or with my dual stick setup lol. Looks amazing and I am glad they are going back to the look and hopefully mission play style of my fav mechwarrior 2 mercs.
